The Emerson has been playing for us since 1979. The musicians retain their vitality and freshness, with every performance an example of fine communication. They have won nine Grammy Awards and three Gramophone Awards – an unprecedented honour for a chamber music group, a compliment to their energy, integrity and commitment. The quartet has been inducted into the American Classical Music Hall of Fame.  And we welcome cellist, Paul Watkins, for his first Vancouver concert as a member of the Emerson String Quartet.
