Stanislav Pronin, violin
Alexander Seredenko, piano

"It is not often that you hear such individuality as you do in [Pronin’s] playing. Outstanding technical virtuosity, very imaginative and convincing interpretation."

— LEONARD SLATKIN

Stanislav Pronin is regarded as one of Canada’s most brilliant violinists. This exciting young talent was born in Moscow, began studying violin at the age of eight, and made his solo debut in Israel at the age of ten.

Pianist Alexander Seredenko, also of Russian heritage, has developed a following for his electrifying and deeply expressive performances. He has been studying on full scholarship at The Glenn Gould School in Toronto, where his teacher is Music in the Morning favourite, James Anagnoson. He has earned top prizes in numerous competitions, and was the first Canadian to win the Hamamatsu International Piano Competition. He is scheduled to make his Toronto Symphony debut next season with the Rachmaninoff 2nd Concerto. These two exceptional artists will perform works of Prokovief, Rachmaninoff and Piazzolla.
